Fall & Spring Clean Ups

We offer a fall and a spring cleaning service for yards and front gardens. Seasonal yard clean up typically takes place in the fall and spring and includes removal of leaves, brush, weeds, & other unwanted plants & debris. General cleanups are typically an all-inclusive process that include flower bed service, tree and shrub trimming, & mulch removal and/or installation. 

A Fall cleanup generally includes cleaning up all the leaves, a nice low mowing with the bagging leaves & the trees and bushes trimmed. Will get those last few brown leaves, get a nice sharp edging in place before rainy season & get the yard, garden & bedding ready for the spring.

Spring clean up would usually include some, if not all, of the following: scalping the grass, trimming all the trees and bushes, installing new colorful flowers, installing a thick layer of fresh mulch, and applying a weed and feed fertilization.

Lawn Dethaching

Dethatching is a lawn service process that removes the layer of thatch, or dead grass, from your lawn. Our crew will use a professional yard dethatcher to power rake the yard and loosen up all the dead thatch. That thatch is then collected and hauled off your property. Removal of the thatch allows space for live growing grass to spread and thrive; thereby resulting in a thick, lush, green lawn.

Dethatching is performed mid-Spring and mid-Fall. This time is ideal for dethatching as it allows the grass to recover quickly and allows new grass to fill in under the best conditions.

Detaching services should be performed when the thatch is greater than 1/4 inch thick. We recommend at least once every other season, in conjunction with your core aeration and overseeding program. The average home typically requires this service once every other year.

Sodding & Seeding

Sod installation is the process of removing the existing sod, bringing in new topsoil and leveling the ground to grade away from the home if necessary, then hand install new high quality strips of freshly cut sod in order for the roots to establish in attempt to create a plush and green turf.  It is much quicker than waiting for seed to sprout and fill in which may take several seasons. 

Seeding a lawn consists of rototilling the existing lawn, bringing on a new layer of fresh, top quality top soil, applying seed, and covering the area with an excelsior or seed blanket.
